Whipped Ricotta Pesto Toast

Creamy whipped ricotta, vibrant Besto pesto, layered on crisp toasted bread for an effortless appetizer that’s always the first to disappear.

Servings: 6-8 people 

Ingredients:

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta
  • Besto pesto, for drizzling
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste (optional)

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Toast the baguette slices for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crisp.
  2. Blend the ricotta until smooth and creamy. Spread or pipe the whipped ricotta onto the toasted baguette slices.
  3. Drizzle generously with Besto pesto, top with fresh lemon zest, and finish with flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, if desired.
