Pesto Sardine Toast
Crisp toast spread with vibrant pesto and topped with tender sardines, finished with a bright hit of lemon and olive oil for a rich, briny bite.

Ingredients:
- 1 can of sardines (in olive oil)
- Bread (sourdough or similar)
- Besto (2-3 tbsp)
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Optional: lemon juice/zest, chili flakes, fresh herbs
Directions:
- Toast bread: Toast until golden and crisp.
- Prep sardines: Drain slightly (leave a little oil), break into large pieces.
- Assemble: Spread Besto on toast, layer sardines on top.
- Finish: Add salt, pepper, a squeeze of lemon, and chili flakes if using.
