Pesto Orzo Soup with Bone Broth
Bone broth + Besto = a no-brainer. Warm up with this cozy winter dish that nourishes your body, satisfies your taste buds, and has you sleeping so well.

Servings: 5 people
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for finishing)
- 12 oz Italian sausage (sweet or spicy), casings removed
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- ¾ cup orzo
- 1 cup frozen peas
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Besto, for topping
Directions:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it up, until browned.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Stir in orzo and simmer 8–10 minutes, until tender.
- Add peas and cook 1–2 minutes, just until bright green.
- Season with salt and plenty of black pepper.
- Ladle into bowls, drizzle with olive oil, and finish with a generous spoon of Besto pesto and extra pepper.
