“Boy Dinner” Steak, Broccolini & Rice

Cook time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Filet Mignon
  • Besto
  • Broccolini
  • Garlic Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Lemon
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice
  • 2 cups of Chicken Stock or Bone Broth

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. On a large baking tray, place foil on top.
  3. Cut the bottom ends of the broccolini off and and place the broccolini on baking tray.
  4. Drizzle broccolini with olive oil, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Once cooked, set aside.
  6. Pat dry the filet mignon with a paper towel.
  7. Coat the steak with olive oil on both sides.
  8. Sprinkle on both sides of steak garlic salt and black pepper.
  9. Bake the steak in cast iron pan for 8 min at 400°F.
  10. Using oven gloves, take the steak out of the oven and place on stove top at medium high heat.
  11. Add 2 tbsp of butter to the cast iron pan and sear all 4 sides of the steak until cooked to temperature of choice.
  12. Once steak is done, transfer to a cutting board and slice.
  13. Pour the baste from the cast iron pan on to the steak. Let the steak rest.
  14. In a separate pot, wash and pour 1 cup of jasmine rice.
  15. Add 2 cups of chicken stock or bone broth. Bring to a boil.
  16. Once boiling, reduce to a low heat and turn off heat once rice is cooked.
  17. In a separate bowl, plate the rice, broccolini, and steak. Drizzle Besto on top of the steak. Enjoy!
