Besto at CFAAR Summit: Nut-Free Pesto Spotlight at Northwestern University

Besto at CFAAR: Celebrating Innovation in Allergy-Friendly Living

This past Friday, Besto™ had the incredible honor of being a featured sponsor at the CFAAR Summit (Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research) at Northwestern University in Chicago.

The summit brought together an inspiring community of doctors, researchers, students, and allergy advocates—each one deeply committed to advancing the future of food allergy care and research. And we were thrilled to be part of it.

Sharing Besto with the Allergy Research Community

During the lunch break, we had the joy of serving up our nut-free, gluten-free, and seed oil-free pesto to attendees. Watching people light up after tasting Besto — then choose to take jars home for a loved one, a patient, or themselves—was truly a full-circle moment for our team.

We created Besto to make allergen-conscious eating not only safe, but delicious, and seeing that mission resonate in a room full of professionals who live and work at the forefront of allergy care meant the world to us.

Discovering Other Allergy-Friendly Innovations

One of the day’s unexpected highlights? Connecting with fellow innovators in the space—like Yobee, a skincare line founded by Dr. Ruchi Gupta, MD, MPH. Yobee is dermatologist-tested and thoughtfully formulated to support sensitive skin, especially for those impacted by allergies. We love seeing mission-driven, physician-founded brands creating meaningful solutions in adjacent areas of wellness—and yes, we brought a jar home to NYC!

Why This Matters

At Besto, we believe allergen-friendly living should never feel limiting. Events like the CFAAR Summit remind us that we’re not alone in that belief. There’s a passionate, growing community of scientists, makers, and advocates working toward a future where inclusion and flavor go hand-in-hand.

We’re endlessly grateful to be a part of it. 💚

Stay tuned for more updates on where we’re headed next—and if you were at CFAAR, thank you for welcoming Besto to the table.
